Our PTA
Second Hand Uniform Shop Help save the planet and your money, and support the HSA to fund more fun things at school.
Welcome to the Horrington School Association (HSA) page, we really hope you enjoy your time at the school!
We are a friendly, thriving and motivated PTA, which you are very welcome to join. Meetings are usually held once a half-term, with our AGM usually held in September.
We are a listed charity and we try to work closely with the school to provide resources and equipment that is outside of ordinary school funding.
The committee currently consists of:

Past big purchases include; new interactive boards for classrooms, outdoor equipment for the EYFS area, home corner equipment for Kingfisher class and assisting with the play area just off of the playground. Smaller purchases include; the ‘Charanga’ music programme, crackers for the Christmas lunch and snacks to accompany a Pantomime trip.
How we fundraise
We would not be able to help the school without the time spent and valuable money collected from our wonderful and generous parents. We aim to do one grown up activity and one child activity per half-term/term. In the past we have held a quiz night at Mendip Golf Club, dress down days, ‘too cool for school’ days, school discos, and Summer and Christmas Fayres. We also promote pre-loved school uniform and clothing sales i.e. Christmas jumpers, etc, in exchange for a donation.
Easy Fundraising
We would like to remind you all about Easy Fundraising and introduce this to parents. This donates money to the HSA every time you shop online. There over 3,200+ retailers that will donate a certain amount depending on how much you spend e.g. Topshop 3%, Tesco groceries up to £7.50.
There are lots of ways you can help and support your child/children via the HSA. Offering to help before events or at other times during the year is so valuable. It doesn’t matter if you cannot help on a regular basis or even if you cannot come into school. There are always jobs that can be done from home if you have half an hour to spare, i.e., wrapping gifts, preparing raffle tickets, etc. Please contact one of the HSA members, or email us at horringtonsa@gmail.com if you can help or would like to give new event ideas.
